Active, since 2011, Murmuration is a Philadelphia based improvised-music ensemble. Members are Russell Kotcher, violin/piano; Eric Coyne, cello/piano; Joshua Machiz, double bass. Their improvisations are mostly acoustic, and are classically-influenced, woven with elements of modern popular music. Their debut album Revised Notes was released in March 2018.
